About

About

Ukrainian Voice UK brings together community groups, charities, academics, civic leaders and other key stakeholders to advocate for the long-term stability of Ukrainians who came to the UK after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

While many have begun rebuilding their lives and integrating into local communities, they need a clear and stable future. Continued reliance on short-term measures undermines housing security, financial independence, health, and community cohesion, restricting full participation in UK society.

As of 2025, the war in Ukraine continues, and much of the country remains unsafe. The Coalition will work to secure policies that enable Ukrainians to thrive in the UK while maintaining ties to Ukraine and Ukrainian cultural identity.

It will serve as a unified voice to government, providing robust evidence, developing policy proposals, and engaging in targeted advocacy to ensure Ukrainians are fairly represented and supported in immigration, housing, employment, health, education, and social security. Central to this is amplifying Ukrainian voices and placing lived experience at the heart of decision-making.

Mission Statement

To secure stability, dignity, and a sustainable future for Ukrainians in the UK by advocating for policies that reflect their contributions and integration. The Ukraine Schemes can no longer be treated as a temporary solution. Ukrainians must be supported to build lasting futures in the UK or return to Ukraine with dignity if they choose.

Core Principles

  1. Ukrainian-centred and collaborative: Ukrainians must lead and shape decision-making, working alongside support organisations and partners.
  2. Evidence-driven advocacy: Use robust data, policy analysis, and lived experience to shape fair and effective solutions.
  3. Long-term sustainability: Move beyond emergency responses to create stable, long-term policies.
  4. Solidarity with Ukraine: Support those who choose to return while ensuring those who remain can live with dignity and contribute fully in the UK.
  5. Community cohesion: Build positive relationships between Ukrainians and host communities to foster inclusive local societies.
